REAR GARDEN
The brief was to create a grown up outdoor space, divided into zones for dining and evening entertaining, with an area of lawn for the children to play. Atmospheric lighting is a key part of the design; concealed colour changing strip lighting illuminates the steps leading up to the house, as well as giving an ambient glow to the floating bench and area around the fire pit. Natural stone and timber elements have been incorporated into the landscaping, whilst the black decking and continuation of the slate slabs in the kitchen create a seamless transition from the house to the garden.

The garden before and during construction
INTERIOR COURTYARD
Graphic encaustic tiles reflect the light and link the courtyard to the rear garden. The planting consists of ferns, grasses, fragrant Jasmine and architecture tree ferns, transforming a previously dark and unused space into a tropical oasis.
